With no small amount of divine providence, I've managed to fix my 28-135 USM IS. I took the whole lens apart and cleaned it. This fixed the AF but led to an F00 error and no IS. Then I took the whole thing apart and cleaned & re-seated the wiring buses and contacts. Now everything works! Thank you Lord.
